How a laptop earns the Apex grade

Somewhere in a storeroom, a laptop is gathering dust. It still has years of work left in it. Here is what happens next.

  1. Collected and logged

We collect laptops from homes, offices and schools across South Africa. Each one gets a tag, a serial number and a proper look-over.

  2. Repaired properly

A cracked screen, a tired battery, a clogged fan. We replace what is worn out and clean what is not, using tested parts.

  3. Cleaned top to bottom

Dust, scratches and years of fingerprints come off. Any wear that stays is graded honestly and shown on the listing.

  4. Tested on 150 points

Battery, display, keyboard, ports, wireless, storage and cooling. If it fails one, it goes back to the bench.

  5. Graded and warrantied

A fresh software install, a clear grade, and up to 12 months of warranty. The laptop you would be happy to unbox.
